Bulkhead Systems:  Softcore / Hardcore

Softcore: The Softcore System is characterized by
non-combustibility, light weight, moisture resistance, thermal resistance, sound insulation, simple and rapid installation.

Approvals The USJ Softcore Paneling System meets the fire resistance, construction, and material requirements as specified in IMO FTP Code Annex 1, Parts 1 & 3 resulting in certificates of approval from the U.S.C.G.

Hardcore:  The Hardcore Panel is the board to use when designing and building onboard accommodation and public areas. It is safe and easy to work with, and can be used in all areas. In addition to excellent acoustic properties, approvals for A, B and C class divisions to IMO SOLAS standards are held by leading classification societies and authorities. Dampa Ceiling System

Dampa DCC 300/200 is a fire rated, suspended marine ceiling system consisting of linear ceiling panels in two modular widths, 300 mm and 200 mm. The same carrier type is used for both widths. Fast and efficient installation is assured, as ceiling panels are supplied “pre-cut” in accordance with customer drawings and specifications.

DCC215/315 suspended perforated ceilings meet USCG approval 164.110/0011/0. Fireclass B-15, B-30, A-30 and A-60 can be achieved by adding additional insulation overlays.

Dampa DFCC300 (Dampa Freespan Continuous Ceiling) System features a specially designed ceiling joint ensuring a tight and uniform, self-locking connection with all ceiling panels in alignment forming a distinctively flat monolithic appearance. Installation is quick and easy with all ceiling panels individually demountable. DFCC300 meets USCG approval 164.110/0010/0.

Doors

Doors are manufactured in accordance with the specific requirements for each vessel based on various regulatory bodies. US Joiner can provide commercial steel doors to meet the requirements of B-0, B-15, A-0, A-15 and A-60.

USJ can also provide aluminum extruded and honeycomb doors constructed to the Navy Type Plan.

Doors are provided with a variety of options: vinyl covered, painted, weather tight, dogged, steel or stainless steel, hinged or sliding, with or without deadlights, with locks or without, etc.

Marine Furniture and Furnishings

US Joiner has developed a state of the art line of Modular Commercial Steel Furniture. To meet the requirements of the customer and/or regulatory bodies, furniture can be supplied in steel, aluminum or laminated marine grade plywood. Furniture is manufactured to meet the requirements of USCG, Military Specifications, Shipboard Furniture Catalog, NSF and Fire Codes, etc., as applicable to each vessel.

US Joiner also offers Ultra Light Aluminum Seating for commercial and marine application.

Sit Up Berth

“Improved quality of life for the 360 Sailors and more than 700 Marines who will embark on San Antonio LPD 17 was an important element in the ship’s design from the start. The adoption of the Navy’s sit-up berth—a three-tiered bunk bed system, will provide 40 percent more storage space for Sailors and Marines and still provide enough headroom to sit in an upright position. The crew and embarked troops will enjoy a more comfortable innerspring mattress that is significantly longer. Better lighting also will make these berthing units ideal places for reading, writing, or just some much-needed relaxation. The sit-up berth is expected to exert a positive impact on morale, readiness, and retention.”

Galleys

Marine edges, sea rails, positive latching devices, sound deadening, NSF, USPH, and CDC —all terms applicable to marine galleys. US Joiner has the expertise to supply commercial, navy and passenger vessel galleys and meet the specific requirements for each market segment.

In support of the Navy's effort to reduce the ships manning requirements and improve the sailors' quality of life, Our engineers led a study that incorporated modern chill/freeze food technology into the vessel design. Utilizing modern food preparation methodology and equipment that includes combi-ovens, blast chillers and large walk-in food bank refrigerators placed close to the galley, the design allows for efficient preparation and delivery of restaurant quality food while rationalizing the number of support personnel.

Modular Toilet & Shower Units

T & S Modules are perfect for new construction and are available in many different sizes and configurations to accommodate the customers needs. Units can be shipped “knocked down” to meet hatchability requirements for existing ships.

US Joiner provides and/or installs a variety of items to outfit shipboard stores, lockers, and workshops. These items include shelving (steel, aluminum, wood), MDS Cabinets, B-Bins, K/Racks, storage lockers, work benches and accessories, jack rods and tool boards, etc.
